Margaret Szukela, MSW Candidate
Child & Family Therapist
Margaret completed her Social Service Worker Diploma at Sheridan College with Honors, she obtained her Bachelor of Social Work with Honors from Ryerson University and is currently pursuing a Masters of Social Work at Wilfrid Laurier University.
In the last fourteen years she has been supporting women, who due to different traumatic circumstances, decided to step onto the path of healing. Margaret’s focus was to provide them with a place of security and comfort in a supportive therapeutic atmosphere in group and mentorship settings. Through this work she realized that the barrier to connect with inner strength was often buried in childhood trauma.
Margaret’s hope is that by combining her practical and theoretical experience in the field of trauma along with the play therapy and counselling techniques that she will learn and further develop at The Play Clinic, she will be able to help young people grow and achieve happy and healthy lives.
