Occupational Therapist


Tara has a Masters in Occupational Therapy, obtained from the University of Queensland in Australia. She has extensive experience working with child, youth and families who experience severe and complex mental health. Her work experience also includes consultative work within the education setting, working across multiple school boards, advocating and supporting students to succeed at school.


Tara has completed training in Theraplay level 1 and Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP) level 1 and 2. She is a certified provider of the Circle of Security parenting group and Triple P parenting program. She has additional training and education in family therapy, developmental trauma, autism and mental health, as well as assessment and management of anxiety and depression in young people.


As an Occupational Therapist, Tara is interested in what is meaningful for her clients and hearing about this in sessions. She uses activity, as well as talking, to support, healing, personal growth and life satisfaction. She has a passion for enabling young people and families to achieve their goals and restore balance of meaningful occupations in their lives.
