Jodie Keeso, MSW RSW, CPT-S

At the heart of who we are, we are playful, loving, and have good intentions. Born to give and receive love, so many of us didn't get our needs met or faced challenges along the way that were hard. Coming to therapy is where we can explore together what is working and whats not for you and create a plan to support you in meeting your goals. 

Individual sessions with Jodie are $200.00.

For those who request, Jodie offers 90 minute Internal Family Systems sessions to youth and adult clients for $275/session. Jodie works with individuals of all ages, from all backgrounds, professions, and all walks of life. (1)

Jodie is a

  • Certified Play Therapist Supervisor (CPT-S)

  • IFSI Approved IFS Consultant

  • Certified EMDR therapist

  • Certified Complex Trauma Professional (CCTP-2)

  • Certified Sex Offender Treatment Provider (CSOTP-SW) 

Additionally, Jodie has completed level 1 and 2 in Theraplay,® completing the Intermediate Theraplay Practitioner Certification, as well as level 1 and 2 of Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP), and level 1 and 2 in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). Jodie has comepleted the Humber College Parent Capacity course, a worshop on Dan Diegels Interpersonal Neurobiology, and a 6 month certificate course on using Clayfield with Children from the Sensorimotor Institute.

Jodie has completed additional workshops on using EMDR with children, EMDR with eating disorders, using EMDR working with Police, EMDR treatment with first responders, and EMDR using the Distancing technique to treat OCD.

 

Jodie has taken all 3 levels of IFS, incl level 2 IFS, working with couples (Intimacy From the Inside Out), as well as workshops on using IFS with addictions.

Jodie is committed to professional development and participates as a program assistant for various IFS institute trainings. 

Jodie is an approved NIHB and VQRP provider.

She teaches regularly for the Canadian Association of Play Therapy (CAPT), the Maritime Play Therapy Association, and the Crisis & Trauma Resource Institute (CTRI). Additionally Jodie facilitates workshops for group practices and associations on various topics such as:

  • Play Therapy with Adults

  • Assessment & Case Formulation in Therapy

  • Non-Suicidal Self-Injury

  • Treating Abused Children

  • Treating Children with Sexualized Behaviours

  • Child & Adolescent Mental Health

  • Managing Meltdowns & Challenging Behaviours

  • Supporting children with ASD in Play Therapy

  • Critical Incident Debriefing

  • Working with Shame in Therapeutic Space

  • Using Sandtray in Therapy (with DBT, with IFS, etc..)

  • Threat Assessement for Schools & Agencies

She has extensive experience in public speaking and teaching at engagements across Canada and the U.S.

Jodie is a clinical supervisor for play therapy students, master of social work students, qualifying psychotherapists, group practices and agencies. Contact for more information regarding supervision and costs.

Jodie also runs groups for children and youth using Internal Family Systems, Play and Art to increase emotion regulation, social skills and self efficacy, as well as address trauma.

 

Jodie holds memberships with the OCSWSSW, OASW, CAPT, IATP, EMDRIA,  the Theraplay ® Institute, the IFS Institute, as well as being a member of the NeurOptimal ® Neurofeedback Brain Training Community.
