Rebecca Cornale,  MSW RSW
Registered Social Worker

Rebecca is a clinical social worker with a unique educational background, holding a Bachelor of Arts Honours in Sociology and Art History from Queen's University and a Masters of Social Work degree from the University of Windsor. Rebecca's social work experience includes child protection and community social work, where she demonstrated a profound capacity for empathy and advocacy, and positions in child and youth therapy that laid the foundation for her expertise in play and art therapy.

 

Rebecca enjoys working with children, youth and families. She works from a client-centred perspective and is passionate about the therapeutic benefits of art and play therapy. Rebecca is dedicated to continual professional development and applying innovative approaches in her practice. Currently, Rebecca is enhancing her clinical practice by pursuing certification as a Therapeutic Arts Practitioner with the Canadian International Institute of Art Therapy. As well, Rebecca is pursuing Play Therapy Certification with the Canadian Association of Play Therapy, completing: 

  • Non-Directive Play Therapy Training 

  • Art therapy in Play Therapy Training 

 

Outside of her professional life, Rebecca is an avid outdoor enthusiast who finds joy and inspiration in hiking and camping, activities that allow her to connect with nature and recharge, complementing her passion for art and creativity in both her personal and professional worlds.

 

Rebecca is a registered Social Worker with the OCSWSSW and is an Authorized Child Protection Worker with the OACAS.  Rebecca holds memberships with the Ontario Association of Social Workers and the Canadian Association of Play Therapy.
